Chris Steele

Chris Steele has a diverse work experience in the risk management and blockchain industries. Chris currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at BitGo since September 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Internal Controls and Business Process Optimization at BitGo since September 2021. Additionally, they worked as the Head Auditor of Trust Company and Technical Security Program Manager at BitGo, starting in January 2021 and July 2020 respectively.

Before joining BitGo, they were employed at Deloitte as a Third Party Assurance- Blockchain specialist from February 2019 to July 2020. Prior to that, they co-founded Blockchain Transformative Services in February 2018, where they served until February 2019. Chris also held the position of Consulting Senior Associate at RSM US LLP's Risk Advisory Services from an unknown start date to March 2017.

Chris Steele obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accounting from the University of Washington, from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, Chris obtained the certifications of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in April 2019, and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors in September 2018.
