Matthew Brooks has a diverse range of work experience, starting from 2000 to the present. Matthew began their career as a Network Administrator and Computer Technician at Signs By Tomorrow, where they installed computer networks and provided technical support. Matthew later worked as a Computer Technician, CAD Design Artist at Redman Homes/Champion Homes and as a Network Administrator and Computer Technician at Frank Walters Enterprises.

In 2005, Matthew joined Jaguar Electrical, LLC as a Computer Technician, Website Designer, Electrical Systems Installer, and Technology Consultant. Matthew handled tasks such as setting up computer networks, repairing workstations, and providing expert advice on various residential and commercial technologies.

Matthew then moved to the aerospace and defense industry, starting in 2006 as a College Student Tech Specialist at Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company, where they contributed to the modernization of GPS satellites and programmed telemetry data tools. Matthew continued their career at Lockheed Martin, working as a Sr. College Student Tech Specialist, Tech Lead, and Senior Software Engineer / Hardware Engineer / Lead Security Engineer. In these roles, they focused on the development and testing of electrical ground support equipment, hardware prototyping, software and web service design, and security engineering for cryptocurrency HSM technology.

In their current position with BitGo, Inc. since 2018, Matthew is involved in all aspects of cryptocurrency hardware, firmware, software, and infrastructure engineering, including FPGA development, kernel hacking, Linux systems administration, and designing secure key handling methods. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated expertise in a wide range of technical skills, such as VHDL, Verilog, C/C++, Python, and various hardware and software design tools.

Matthew Brooks attended Temple University from 2002 to 2008, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Computer Engineering.
