Rich McNeary

Rich McNeary is currently a Principal Consultant at Bitovi, but they have plenty of experience in the field. Rich previously worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Omni-ID from July 2017 to December 2018, where they added and updated features in the ProVIEW single-page application. Rich also refactored large multi-control templates into composable components in a hybrid Angular application. In addition, they integrated third party UI controls creating interfaces and adapters to allow for reuse among different views. Rich characterized, debugged, and fixed various issues including memory leaks and UI display performance problems. Rich participated in reviewing code for pull-requests before they were merged to development branches. Rich also created new or updated existing server endpoints to return required information. These changes often resulted in new business objects being created in both .Net (C#) and Node.js environments to communicate with other application components or hardware devices.

Before that, they were a Software Project Lead / Senior Software Developer at Kodak Alaris from September 2005 to July 2017. There, they were responsible for leading a team of developers in the design, development, integration, and testing of software modules for document imaging products. Rich also contributed to the architecture and design of the software and provided technical mentoring to more junior developers on the team.

And before that, they were a Project Quality Lead / Software Quality Engineer / Image Quality Engineer at Eastman Kodak from January 2000 to September 2005. There, they were responsible for leading quality assurance efforts for software products related to digital image capture, processing, storage, and manipulation. Rich also developed test plans and cases, conducted manual and automated testing, and wrote test tools. Rich was also responsible for investigating customer reports of defects and providing root cause analysis.

Rich McNeary completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) at Rochester Institute of Technology.
