Alan Tannenwald has a diverse range of work experience in various legal roles. Alan is currently the VP, Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Secretary at Bitsight, where they advise senior management on corporate governance, risk mitigation, and compliance-related policies. Prior to their current position, they served as the Sr. Director, Associate General Counsel at Alvaria, Inc., where they provided advice on corporate governance, employment law, data privacy, compliance, and contracts. Before that, they worked as an Associate General Counsel at Sierra-Cedar, negotiating customer contracts and generating significant annual revenue. Alan also gained experience as an Associate at Peabody & Arnold LLP and Ropes & Gray LLP. Additionally, they served as a Judicial Intern in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and as a Legislative Intern in the Massachusetts State Senate.

Alan Tannenwald has a comprehensive education history. Alan obtained their JD degree in Law from Georgetown University Law Center between 2005 and 2008. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Brandeis University from 2001 to 2005, earning a BA degree. Their areas of study during their time at Brandeis included American Studies, Philosophy, and they also completed the Legal Studies Program. Before their university education, Alan attended Newton South High School from 1997 to 2001. In terms of certifications, they became a Licensed Attorney through the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers in December 2008.
