Derrek Smith

Derrek Smith is a seasoned professional in the field of cybersecurity, currently serving as a CTI Solutions Engineer at Bitsight since January 2025. Prior to this role, Smith worked at Cybersixgill as a CTI Sales Engineer from August 2022 to August 2025 and held positions at KPMG from 2016 to 2022 as a Senior Associate specializing in Threat Hunting & Intelligence and Cyber Security Consulting. Notably, Smith played a pivotal role in establishing a Threat Hunting Team at KPMG that effectively mitigated internal security threats and managed large remediation projects for major clients, including a telecom company and a California university.
