John O. Hurston

John O. Hurston has a long and varied work experience. John O. began their career in 2003 as a Law Clerk at Stebner and Associates. In 2008, they moved to Otis Spunkmeyer, Inc. as a Financial Analyst. In 2011, they joined Clif Bar & Company as a Contract Manager and Accounting Analyst. In 2016, they became a Law Fellow at California Lawyers for the Arts. In 2017, they joined Wells Fargo as a Contract Negotiator and Regulatory Consultant and Legal Analyst. In 2019, they worked at OYO USA as Special Counsel, Horizon Corporate Counsel as Commercial Counsel, and Wells Fargo as a Compliance Consultant. In 2020, they joined Wells Fargo as a Securities Analyst in Corporate & Investment Banking. In 2021, they became the Associate General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at BitTorrent, Inc. In this role, they advise internal teams on contract negotiation, product development, trademark & IP matters, litigation, corporate governance, entity formation, employment, and marketing communications.

John O. Hurston has a varied educational background, having obtained a High School Diploma from St. Augustine High School, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley, a Doctor of Law from San Francisco Law School, a Master of Business Administration from Golden Gate University, and a Corporate Finance Certificate from Berkeley Law Executive Education. John O. is also an Attorney certified by the State Bar of California.
