Matt Cillis

Matthew Cillis serves as the Chief Sales Officer at Bitwarden since June 2023, bringing extensive leadership experience in sales and revenue roles. Prior to Bitwarden, Matthew held the position of Chief Revenue Officer at Ably from June 2022 to May 2023 and at Instana following its acquisition by IBM in March 2021, where Matthew was CRO from September 2020. Earlier roles include Vice President of Sales for the Americas at CloudBees and Director of Sales at Splunk, where responsibilities included managing major accounts and leading sales strategies. Matthew's career began at Dell EMC, where roles spanned from Global Account Manager to NYS Government Team Lead, and included experience as a Project Engineer at various consulting firms. Matthew holds a Master’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University, a Bachelor’s in the same field from Clarkson University, and a Bachelor’s in Physics from the State University of New York Cortland.
