Passionate about using best practices in digital communications and innovative open source web technologies, she works with the Bixal team to craft culturally relevant communication strategies to engage and connect with the public and hard-to-reach communities.

Her diverse career path includes working in rural Guatemala as a health-nutrition extensionist, directing a nonprofit program for recent Latino immigrants in Southern California, supporting business development activities for small farmers in Latin America, developing websites and software using Java and .NET, and developing online communications and technology strategies for the Hispanic market.
