Chris Kalnin

Christopher (Chris) Kalnin is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of BKV Corporation. He also serves as a Board Member of the company. Chris started BKV in 2015 with the vision to create a one-of-a-kind, highly successful natural gas E&P company. Since then, he has grown BKV to over 200 employees with multiple assets across Pennsylvania and Texas.

Prior to BKV, Chris spent almost three years as Vice President of Strategic Business Operations and Planning at Level 3 Communications (now CenturyLink. He has also served as a strategic advisor at Thailand’s national oil and gas company (PTTEP) and a consultant with McKinsey & Company. He started his career as a Financial Analyst with Credit Suisse First Boston.

Chris received a BA in Finance and General Studies with distinction from The University of Western Ontario and an MBA from Northwestern University at the Kellogg School of Management, where he graduated summa cum laude.
