Garrett Thompson

Garrett Thompson has an extensive work experience in various industries. Garrett began their career at Thompson Construction as a General Laborer, where they gained skills in construction, framing, finish work, remodeling, and concrete work. Garrett also operated machinery such as skid loaders and tele-handlers. Garrett worked part-time during the school year and full-time during summers from 2009 to 2013.

Garrett then joined the Lower Big Blue Natural Resource District as a General Laborer, where they maintained and repaired water shed dams, installed irrigation sensor systems, repaired equipment, and managed recreational park areas. Garrett further honed their skills in machinery operation and repair.

In 2016, Garrett worked as an Intern at Slawson Companies, gaining valuable experience in the industry.

In 2017, they joined Schlumberger as a Field Engineer (Pump Down Perforation), where they worked until 2019.

Garrett'smost recent role is with BKV Corporation, where they currently serve as the Chief of Staff to the COO. Prior to this position, they also worked as a Completions/Production Engineer.

Garrett Thompson earned their B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering with a Minor in Geology from The University of Kansas, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Garrett also obtained three certifications: ATF Level 4 from ATF in October 2017, 10K Pressure Control from Schlumberger in August 2017, and Safe gulf / Safe land from PEC Safety in July 2017.
