Kara van Horn

Kara Van Horn, CPA, serves as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Controller at BKV Corporation since October 2020. Previously, Kara held positions as Accounting Manager and Senior Accountant at Kalnin Ventures from November 2018 to October 2020, and worked as a Senior Accountant in Financial Reporting at SM Energy Company from November 2017 to November 2018. Kara's career commenced at Deloitte, where roles included Audit Senior and Audit Senior Assistant from September 2014 to October 2017. Additional experience includes serving as a Colorado Avalanche Ice Girl at Kroenke Sports & Entertainment and various internships that focused on tax processing and auditing. Kara holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado.
