Samid Hoda

Samid Hoda has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of data science and digital transformation. Samid is currently working at BKV Corporation as the Head of Data and Digital Transformation since January 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Data Scientist at BKV Corporation from February 2021.

Before joining BKV Corporation, Samid worked at Well Data Labs, Inc as the Principal Data Scientist from April 2019 to January 2021. Samid also had a role at Photofeeler as the Lead Data Scientist from March 2018 to March 2019.

Samid Hoda's earlier experiences include working as a Principal Data Scientist at BKV Corporation (August 2016 to March 2018), Senior Director, Data Science and Analytics at SpotX (December 2015 to August 2016), Director, Software Engineering (Data Science and Algorithms) at SpotX (October 2014 to November 2015), and Principal Data Scientist at SpotX (October 2013 to September 2014).

Furthermore, Samid Hoda has also worked as the Director, Corporate Strategy at Level 3 Communications from March 2012 to September 2013 and as a Senior Research Scientist at ExxonMobil from June 2010 to February 2012.

Samid Hoda has a strong education history in the field of computer science and optimization. Samid completed their Bachelor of Mathematics degree in Joint Honours Computer Science and Combinatorics & Optimization from the University of Waterloo between 1997 and 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Mathematics degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Algorithm Design and Analysis from the same university from 2000 to 2003. Samid Hoda then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University from 2005 to 2010, specializing in Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization (ACO).
