Philipp Hänggi

Philipp Hänggi is the Head of Energy Production at BKW AG since September 2014 and a member of the Executive Board. In previous roles, Philipp served as Head of Nuclear and Coal, overseeing the decommissioning and nuclear waste management at Mühleberg Nuclear Power Plant, as well as stakeholder management for nuclear and coal assets. Key assignments include serving as President of swissnuclear since 2019 and holding various board positions across reputable energy organizations. Philipp previously managed swissnuclear from May 2004 to August 2014, focusing on operational management and key projects related to nuclear safety and waste management. Additional experience includes strategic support at Alpiq and leadership in the Swiss Chess Federation. Philipp holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Physics from ETH Zürich, as well as an EMBA from the University of St. Gallen.
