Steven Carlson

Steven Carlson has worked in the software engineering field since 2021, currently employed as a Software Engineer at Black Cape. Prior to this role, they were a Software Engineer - DoD SkillBridge/HoH Fellow at PayPal. Steven has a long history of service in the United States Air Force, where they held various roles from 1998 to 2021, including Squadron Superintendent - Senior Enlisted Advisor, Evaluator E-3 AWACS Airborne Computer System Administrator, NATO E-3 AWACS Airborne Computer System Administrator, and Instructor E-3 AWACS Airborne Computer System Administrator.

Steven Carlson is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science at the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they began in 2019 and is expected to finish in 2023. Prior to this, they completed a Nanodegree in Full-Stack Development with Udacity in 2020. Steven obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Troy University in 2009. Before that, they earned an Associate degree in Computer Studies from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2005. Steven also earned an Associate degree in Avionic Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2002. In addition, Steven Carlson has obtained numerous certifications, including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in 2022, Cypher Fundamentals and Graph Data Modeling Fundamentals from Neo4j in 2022, Importing CSV Data into Neo4j from Neo4j in 2022, Neo4j Fundamentals from Neo4j in 2022, CompTIA A+ ce from CompTIA in 2017, CompTIA IT Operations Specialist – CIOS from CompTIA in 2017, CompTIA Network+ ce from CompTIA in 2017, CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist – CSIS from CompTIA in 2018, CompTIA Security+ ce from CompTIA in 2018, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020.
