Richard Hooper Miet

Richard Hooper MIET is a Senior Civil Estimator at Black Cat Civil Pty Ltd since December 2023, with a robust background in project management and engineering. Previously, Richard served as Project Manager at Hall Contracting Pty Ltd from January 2018 to December 2023, and as Project Engineer and Site Engineer at Doval Constructions Ltd from May 2015 to December 2017 and October 2014 to May 2015, respectively. Notable projects include the $7.5M M1 Safety Barriers Package C for the Department of Transport and Main Roads, and the $9.2M upgrade of the Bicentennial Bikeway Stage 4 for Brisbane City Council. Richard also has experience as Engineering Project Manager with the UK Ministry of Defence from September 2008 to November 2013, leading critical integration projects and delivering significant cost savings. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Physics from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology since 2015.
