Black Collegiate Gaming Association (BCGA)
Jakolby Brown is an experienced professional in the fields of esports, gaming, and sports management. Currently serving as a Mavs Academy Camp Coach for the Dallas Mavericks since October 2023, Jakolby directs and assists with NBA 2K Gaming Camps, fostering essential skills and sportsmanship among participants. As the Mobile Y Tech Hub Esports Coordinator at the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas since July 2022, Jakolby oversees mobile units that provide esports and STEM education. Additionally, as the Gaming & Esports Member Manager for the Black Collegiate Gaming Association, Jakolby is dedicated to creating educational and career opportunities for Black college students in the gaming industry. With a background in coaching, event management, and music composition, Jakolby has held various roles that leverage a broad skill set, underpinned by multiple degrees in sports management and esports project management from reputable institutions including Texas Southern University and the University of Houston.

The Black Collegiate Gaming Association is a foundation whose purpose is to pivot black and women of color high school & college students into the overall gaming industry, not only as consumers, but as contributors. We strive to build-up students that will be prepared to interview and become a part of the gaming industry on the competitive, entrepreneur and corporate levels, we will aide in creating future groundbreakers.
