Joan Cameron-Smith is an experienced fundraising and program management professional with a strong background in the arts sector. Since January 2020, Joan has held various roles at the Black Dog Institute, currently serving as Planned Giving Manager, after previously working as Planned Giving Coordinator and Major Gifts Officer. Prior experiences include Fundraising Coordinator at Sydney Festival (August 2018 - August 2019) and Public Programs Administration Officer at the National Art School (July 2016 - July 2018). Joan's early career involved significant positions at the National Association for the Visual Arts, focusing on events and membership coordination from February 2012 to June 2016, as well as a role at S2 Studios as Studio and Equipment Hire Coordinator (August 2007 - December 2011). Educational qualifications include a Master of Curating and Cultural Leadership from UNSW (2015 - 2017) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the National Art School (2003 - 2006).
