Kenyatta Stephens has extensive experience in leadership and program management within the mental health and social services sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer and previously as Chief Operating Officer at Black Family Development Inc since December 1999, Kenyatta oversees various organizational operations including program management, budget oversight, and contract management. From July 1997 to December 1999, Kenyatta held the role of Program Supervisor/Program Director at the same organization, focusing on Medicaid-funded mental health services and domestic violence counseling. Earlier experience includes therapy for victims of domestic violence at SafeHouse and clinical training at the Philadelphia VA Hospital. Kenyatta holds a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Mental Health and Child and Family from The University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Georgetown University.
