Joshua Sanders

Joshua Sanders currently serves as the Director of Intergovernmental Relations for the City of Houston Mayor's Office since January 2024. Prior to this role, Joshua Sanders was the owner of Joshua Sanders LLC, a government affairs firm specializing in lobbying within Texas, from January 2020 to January 2024. Joshua Sanders has extensive experience in government relations and lobbying, having held positions as a contract lobbyist for both the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Professional Fire Fighters Association. Additionally, Joshua Sanders served as a Houston lobbyist for various organizations, including Uptown Houston and Lyft. From 2007 to 2020, Joshua Sanders was the Executive Director of Houstonians for Responsible Growth, a non-profit focused on land use research and advocacy. Joshua Sanders also worked as a Policy Director at Hall, Professional Corporation, addressing issues related to real estate and local government. Educational credentials include a BA in Political Science from Texas State University, earned from 2001 to 2005.
