Debbie Berlin

Debbie Berlin has a diverse work experience, with a focus on technology education and empowerment. Debbie is currently working as the Lead Instructor at Black Girls CODE, where they teach coding and technical concepts to K-12 and collegiate students. Debbie also develops culturally relevant STEM curriculum and has been recognized for their youth empowerment work.

Prior to their current role, Debbie worked as a Video Game Developer at Game Dev Debbie. Debbie also served as a STEM Instructor and Workshop Leader for both adults and children.

Debbie has experience in program consulting, having worked as a Program Consultant at On-Ramps To Careers, where they led a summer internship program for high-school and collegiate students. Additionally, they collaborated with senior executive leadership of Samsung Electronics and designed curriculum materials to foster student engagement.

Debbie has a background in education and engineering as well. Debbie worked as an Afterschool Program Coding Instructor at the Quantom Studios Institute for Technology at Washington School for Girls and as a Teacher's Assistant at the University of New Mexico School of Engineering.

Furthermore, they have experience as an Instructor for electronics and coding courses at Santa Fe Community College.

Prior to their ventures in technology and education, Debbie gained experience in the corporate sector. Debbie worked as a Senior Technical Assistant at Communications Workers of America, as well as in roles such as Residential Loan Processor at Eagle Creek Mortgage, LLC, and Assistant Branch Manager at American Bank.

Debbie's work experience reflects a well-rounded background in technology education, program consulting, and various other sectors.

Debbie Berlin is currently a senior student at the University of New Mexico School of Engineering, pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they earned an Associate of Science degree in Computer Science from Northern Virginia Community College, graduating summa cum laude. Additionally, Debbie received training in French Language from the Alliance Française de Paris and obtained a Spanish Language Certification from Colegio Adventista de Sagunto. In terms of certifications, Debbie has completed the Community Security Service Online Training Portal and is a Unity Certified User: Programmer through Unity Technologies.
