Katia Powell-Laurent

Katia Powell-Laurent is an experienced leader in health equity and nutrition, currently serving as faculty at MIT linQ and founder of a stealth startup focused on maternal health, as well as Black Girls Nutrition, the first online nutrition platform for Women of Color. With a strong background in public health, Katia has held various significant roles including Planning Committee Member for the New England Science Symposium at Harvard Medical School, Alumni in Residence for MassChallenge, and CEO of both Techtrition, Inc. and STRIVE 2020, Inc. Educationally, Katia holds a PhD in Public Policy from UMass Boston, an MSN from Simmons University, and a BS in Biology from Emmanuel College.
