August Hicks is an accomplished Human Resources professional with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as Human Resources Manager at Black Hills Federal Credit Union since May 2022, August previously worked as a Human Resources Generalist for Rapid City Area Schools from October 2019 to March 2022, where responsibilities included managing staff employment changes and conducting employee relations investigations. August also has a robust background in the United States Air Force, functioning as a Training Manager from June 2009 to September 2019, during which critical crisis management plans were developed for multiple locations. Academically, August holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from National American University, a Bachelor's degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from American Military University, and an Associate's degree in the same field from the Community College of the Air Force.
