Dr. Tiara Moore

Dr. Tiara Moore's work experience includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Black In Marine Science, a non-profit organization, starting in April 2023. Prior to this role, they were the President of A WOC Space, starting in March 2020.

Dr. Moore also worked at The Nature Conservancy, where they held the positions of Black In Marine Science Program Lead from November 2021 to April 2023, and Postdoctoral Scholar from March 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining The Nature Conservancy, they were a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Washington from July 2019 to March 2020. Dr. Moore's earliest work experience includes being a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Los Angeles from August 2015 to June 2019.

Dr. Tiara Moore's education history begins with their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, which they obtained from Winthrop University from 2007 to 2011. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology/Environmental Science at Hampton University from 2011 to 2013. Finally, they completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology at UCLA from 2015 to 2019.
