Mike Majors is the current Director at Black Kite. Prior to this, they were the Managing Partner at Data Point Capital, an early-stage VC firm that invests in companies that can leverage and be scaled on the Internet. Areas of interest include: HRtech, industrial Internet, AI/ML, cloud-based software, cyber security, renewables, and the Internet of Things. Portfolio companies include: Aperio Systems, Black Kite, Reblaze, JobGet, Returnalyze, Raptor Maps, BoxPower, and FloCareer.

Before Data Point Capital, Mike Majors was the Managing Partner at Siemens Venture Capital where they were in charge of the Industry Fund (expansion- and growth-stage fund) and also the Co-Founder & Head of the Industry of the Future Fund ($100mm early-stage fund). Mike invested in advanced manufacturing and industrial technologies with specific areas of interest including cyber security, industrial automation, PLM software, industrial analytics, Internet of Things, and manufacturing/engineering software. Portfolio companies included: Encelium (acq. by OSRAM), Wurldtech (acq. by GE), Polarion (acq. by Siemens), Lagoa (acq. by Autodesk), CyActive (acq. by PayPal), Camstar (acq. by Siemens), Black Duck (acq. by Synopsys), CyberFlow (acq. by Webroot), LogRhythm (acq. by Thoma Bravo), Electric Cloud (acq. by CloudBees), CounterTack, and Digital Guardian (acq. by HelpSystems).

Mike Majors has also held the position of Acting CFO at Indeed.com for 8 months and Venture Partner at StarVest Partners for 1 year 4 months. Mike has also been a part-time CFO and financial consultant for various early-stage companies for 1 year.

Mike Majors earned their Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in 1997, where their focus was on machine learning & robotics. Mike was a Fulbright Scholar and also held an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship during their time at Cambridge. Prior to that, they graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University in 1993 with a BSE in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering. While at Princeton, they were a member of the Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi honor societies.
