Desiree Rogers

Desiree Rogers has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Desiree served as the Chief Executive Officer of Black Opal Beauty since 2019. Prior to that, they were the Former Chairman of Choose Chicago, where they were responsible for managing corporate and leisure travel and increasing visitation to Chicago. From 2010 to 2017, they served as the Chief Executive Officer of Johnson Publishing Company, LLC, where they led the strategy to expand Ebony and Jet magazines and secure capital investments. Desiree also worked at The White House as the Special Assistant to the President and Social Secretary, where they repositioned the White House and implemented innovative events to promote the Obama brand. Additionally, they served as the President of Allstate Social Network, developing a social network strategy for Allstate. Earlier in their career, Desiree held leadership positions at Integrys Energy Group, where they were responsible for the Peoples Gas and North Shore Gas divisions, and at Illinois Lottery Inc., where they revitalized the organization and managed the business operations.

Desiree Rogers has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government with a minor in Economics from Wellesley College. Desiree also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Harvard Business School. In addition, Desiree has completed the Women and Power Program at Harvard Kennedy School and has participated in the Center for International and Comparative Programs.
