Stephen Cavanagh

Stephen Cavanagh is a seasoned technical director currently leading growth initiatives at Black Shamrock, a Virtuos Studio, where responsibilities include enhancing technical capabilities and fostering innovative team environments for AAA game development. Previously at Electronic Arts, Stephen served as a software engineer focused on FIFA E-Sports, demonstrating expertise in planning and managing live event environments, as well as playing a crucial role as tech lead for the successful Kick Off 2.0 feature. Stephen's extensive experience includes serving as a technical director for "The Journey," pioneering technical risk assessment and delivering storytelling tools using the Frostbite engine, alongside leading teams at various company levels to successfully advance game mode technologies. Stephen holds a Master's degree in Interactive Entertainment Technology from Trinity College Dublin and a Postgraduate Diploma in Software Development from The Open University.
