Sunny Kumar is the founder of Black Sheep Foods, a plant-based lamb alternative company. Prior to Black Sheep Foods, Sunny was the head of business and regulation at Finless Foods. At Finless Foods, Sunny was responsible for building the Finless Foods brand and commercialization strategy. Prior to Finless Foods, Sunny was a builder at various entrepreneurial ventures where they worked on a range of startup ideas, including a voice assistant for the transportation as a service future that helps introduce passengers to one another, a VR application that allows users to record animations in a virtual environment using their bodies and voice as inputs, a mouthguard that helps basketball players keep their head up while dribbling by gently vibrating when they drop their head below level, and an on-demand scooter startup. Sunny has also worked as a senior product manager at Amazon Instant Video.

Sunny Kumar attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, where they received their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) & Masters of Engineering Management (M.E.M.). They were also the President of Digital Shorts Club and the Director of 'Special K' Feature Film. Prior to that, Sunny Kumar went to SUNY Albany for their Bachelors of Science in the Financial Analyst Honors Program. They started their education at Bronx High School of Science.
