Cat Heard

Cat Heard is an accomplished architectural professional, currently serving as an Associate at MG2 Design since March 2022. With extensive experience as an Item Writer and Reviewer for Black Spectacles, Cat creates and quality assures practice exam questions for licensure candidates, while also providing guidance as an ARE Expert and Success Consultant to support those pursuing architectural licensure. Cat’s role as a Licensing Advisor with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) complements previous positions at Unispace and CallisonRTKL, where responsibilities included leading initiatives for women in leadership, managing multiple retail projects, and overseeing detail library transitions. Cat has also contributed to the field through a microgrant research program and was initially trained as an architectural intern at Fletemeyer & Lee Associates. Educationally, Cat holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Colorado Denver.
