Black Spinel Initiative
The Black Spinel Initiative develops Leadership and Innovation skills in black kids through ESTEAM skills (STEM + Entrepreneurship + Arts). The low number of Black role models in STEM has been a limitation in driving black youth's aspiration towards STEM, but it is something we believe we can change! Through the Black Spinel Initiative, we are building an inter generational network of social, intellectual and cultural capital for the Black Community around the world. We want to empower Black youth to see themselves in positions of leadership - in their classes, extra-curricular activities, and in their communities; leadership is a skill that needs practice too!
