Alyssa Silvaggi

Alyssa Silvaggi is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Associate at Black Srebnick since August 2017. Prior to this role, Alyssa worked as an Assistant Public Defender in the Juvenile Division at the Broward County Public Defender's Office from January 2015 to July 2017, specializing in serious non-capital felony cases. Alyssa gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant and Tutorial Assistant in Criminal Law at the University of Windsor Faculty of Law between September 2012 and 2014. Additional legal experience includes work as a Caseworker, Litigator, and Group Supervisor at Community Legal Aid from May 2011 to 2014, and as a Teaching Assistant for forensic science courses at the University of Windsor. Earlier in career, Alyssa served as a Criminal Legal Assistant at Ducharme Fox LLP from 2007 to 2012. Alyssa holds a Juris Doctor from both the University of Detroit Mercy and the University of Windsor, in addition to a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Forensic Science and Criminology from the University of Windsor and a certificate from the Explore French Language Program at Université Laval.
