Reinier Smit

Reinier Smit has a diverse range of work experience. Reinier started their career in 2016 as a Financial Advisor at Liberty Group South Africa, where they provided financial advice to individuals and organizations. Reinier then worked as a Customer Service Host at Digital Outsource Services (Pty) Ltd, where they demonstrated professionalism and provided positive customer experiences. In 2017, Reinier joined Stellenbosch University as a Tutor, Convenor, and Lecturer's assistant, where they provided academic support to students and developed study strategies. From 2019 to 2022, Reinier worked at Burgiss as a Private Equity Analyst, responsible for reviewing and analyzing fund financial statements, maintaining fund-level data, and serving as a point of contact between fund managers and clients. In 2022, Reinier joined Black Swan Data as an Insights Analyst and is currently working as an Analytics Consultant for the same company.

Reinier Smit's education history begins with completing their Matric degree in Economics at Tygerberg High School from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued higher education at Stellenbosch University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Economics between 2013 and 2015. Reinier furthered their education at the same institution and completed an Honours degree in Financial Economics from 2017 to 2018.
