Adrian Pearson

Structural Engineer

Adrian Pearson is a structural engineer currently employed at Black & Veatch, focusing on hydropower and hydraulic structures, as well as maritime civil engineering and heavy civil works since July 2023. Prior experience includes working as a marine structural engineer at Moffatt & Nichol from August 2016 to May 2023, where Adrian conducted inspections, analysis, design, and construction of marine structures across various locations including the Mississippi River, Gulf Coast, Caribbean, Latin America, and Europe. Additionally, Adrian served as a marine structural engineer at HR Wallingford in the summer of 2015, conducting physical model tests on breakwaters, and represented the University of Edinburgh as a team leader at a European engineering conference in 2014, successfully securing a design-build contract. Earlier experience includes assisting in research at Harvard Medical School focused on micro-RNA pathways from August 2010 to June 2011. Adrian obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Edinburgh, completing studies in 2016.
