Marco Herbsommer is a Purdue University graduate with a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering. Currently, Marco serves as a Composites Engineer at the Composites Manufacturing & Simulation Center, where they design and execute testing for carbon-fiber components and validate structural performance through simulation. Marco has previous experience as a Graduate Research Assistant, focusing on THz time-domain spectroscopy and machine learning applications in material identification. During their educational journey, Marco also held roles at BASF and ExxonMobil, applying spectroscopy techniques and developing classification models to enhance material characterization processes.
