Colby Sheppard

Colby Sheppard is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently employed at Black & Veatch since October 2022, where responsibilities include developing detailed wiring diagrams and design packages for substation protections and controls, as well as designing distributed energy resources such as Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Prior to this role, Colby worked in quality assurance and control for electrical systems upgrades at Georgia Power Company and held various engineering positions at Pike Engineering, focusing on DOT Relocation and power distribution network design. Colby began a career in logistics and customer service through earlier roles with Park Inc., Boy Scouts of America, and Harris Teeter. Colby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, obtained in May 2021.
