Richard Sharpley

Richard Sharpley has extensive experience in network architecture and solutions engineering, currently serving as a Senior Optical Transport Architect at Black & Veatch since August 2019, while also fulfilling the role of Senior Solutions Engineer at Unite Private Networks since November 2017. Prior to these positions, Richard managed network services at Black & Veatch from July 2011 to November 2017, overseeing the entire network lifecycle, and held the title of Optical Transport Architect in the same company. Richard’s earlier experience includes roles as Technical Leader in Transport/Voice Architecture at Cox Communications and engineering positions at Level3 and Sprint. Notably, Richard specializes in consulting with K-12 schools and libraries to develop WAN and internet solutions compliant with e-rate funding requirements.
