Tene Traylor is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in philanthropy, nonprofit management, and research. Currently serving as Executive Director at Black Wealth Data Center since January 2025 and an Adjunct for the Philanthropy Lab at Emory University's Goizueta Business School since January 2021, Tene has previously held significant roles at the Urban Institute, including Vice President of the Research to Action Lab and the Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy. Tene's experience also includes serving as a Fund Advisor for The Kendeda Fund and as a Senior Program Officer at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, where responsibilities included managing a $1 million endowment and directing grant-making activities across 23 counties. Tene's earlier career involved various roles within the United Way of Greater Atlanta, demonstrating a strong track record in securing funding and developing community programs. Tene holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from The University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Georgia State University.

Black Wealth Data Center
Funded and launched by Bloomberg Philanthropies, and incubated by Prosperity Now, the Black Wealth Data Center (BWDC) was established to provide public and private sector leaders with access to actionable data for policymaking and investment decisions to grow Black wealth. It will feature a comprehensive racial wealth equity database comprising data from more than 30 sources – making it easier to find and analyze a wide range of factors correlated to economic well-being and progress by race.
