Tomi Akingbade is a dedicated PhD student at the University of Cambridge since October 2021, with a strong background in neuroscience obtained through a Master of Science degree from the University of Nottingham in 2019. As the founder of the Black Women in Science Network since April 2018, Tomi has demonstrated a commitment to supporting underrepresented groups in science. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Technician at Imperial College London and a Medical Laboratory Assistant at the NHS, along with collaborative research at the University of Leicester. Tomi's early education was completed at Chelmsford County High School for Girls and Sanders School.
