Cameron Sowder

Cameron Sowder is a highly experienced software engineer currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead at Blackbaud since October 2018. Prior roles at Blackbaud include Principal Software Engineer and Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where significant contributions to system reliability and leadership were made. Previously, at VC3 from March 2014 to October 2018, Cameron worked as an Automation Engineer, developing widely used software packages and engineering a distributed imaging system, as well as a Systems Engineer, where team growth and meeting performance targets were notable achievements. Earlier experience includes a role as a Front End Developer at Event Decor and More. Cameron holds a degree in Political Science, focusing on International Relations and Affairs, from the University of South Carolina, complemented by education at Midlands Technical College.
