John Chau

John Chau is an experienced IT professional with a focus on managing and supporting infrastructure services. Currently serving as Team Lead for IT Operations at Research In Motion (RIM/BlackBerry) since August 2006, John oversees IT services for a satellite R&D site, including a Data Center and laboratories. Prior to this role, John worked as a Systems Administrator at Avaya, Inc. from December 2000 to June 2006, managing MS NT/2000/2003 servers in an enterprise data center. John's career began at Lucent Technologies, where responsibilities included managing a multisite Exchange email infrastructure, followed by a role as a PC Technician at Mosaix, Inc., where John handled the setup and troubleshooting of desktops and laptops. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and American Ethnic Studies from the University of Washington, obtained between 1990 and 1996.
