Sooliam Ooi

Sooliam Ooi is a Senior Antenna Designer at Research In Motion since April 2009, with a previous role as a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Motorola Mobile Devices Research from October 1989 to January 2009, focusing on RF engineering for transceivers. Sooliam has also been actively volunteering with TZU CHI Foundation and Habitat for Humanity since January 2009. Sooliam holds a PhD in Engineering with a specialization in Antenna for Software Definable Radio from Multimedia University and has Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Electromagnetics and Electronics and Communications from Universiti Malaya and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, respectively. Sooliam is also a certified roofing contractor and general contractor in Florida.
