Kirby Wotherspoon

Kirby Wotherspoon is a skilled portfolio community manager at Blackbird since June 2024, focused on developing products for founders and operators. Prior to this role, Kirby served as a people and performance partner at Halter from September 2018 to May 2024, collaborating with leaders to enhance team effectiveness and contributing to the senior leadership team. In various marketing positions at Halter, including head of marketing, Kirby played a pivotal role in leading marketing efforts during multiple funding rounds, beginning as the first go-to-market hire. Previous experience includes working as a media planner at MediaWorks NZ and as a sales coordinator, alongside a successful athletic career as a gold medallist at the 2013 Commonwealth Karate Championships. Kirby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from The University of Auckland.
