Jess Echeverry

Chief Financial Officer at Black//Brown

Jess Echeverry has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. In 1995, they served as a Collections Manager at EDL. From 1999 to 2001, they worked as Client Assistance at Management Brokers Inc. In 1999, Jess founded SOFESA (formerly Sore Feet Saviors) and served as the Executive Director, leading the growth of the organization. Jess worked as a PreK-Kinder Catechist at St. Timothy Catholic Church from 2007 to 2009, creating curriculum and implementing the "Little Church" program. At Church of the Visitation, Jess was a Preschool Catechist for the Little Church program from 2009 to 2013. Jess held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Black//Brown Collective starting in 2013. From 2013 to 2019, Jess worked as the Principal/Teacher at Fordham Catholic Preparatory School. In 2015, they founded Mommaletics, where they fulfilled roles as an Advocate, Speaker, Author, and Podcast Host. Lastly, since 2017, Jess has been a VIRTUS Facilitator at the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.

Jess Echeverry received a Bachelor's degree in Theology/Theological Studies from Holy Apostles College and Seminary in 2020. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2017, Jess earned a Certificate of Completion in Theology/Pastoral Studies from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles Permanent Diaconate Formation Program. In 2009, Jess obtained a Children's Trainor (Facilitator) Certification in VIRTUS from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Additionally, in 2017, Jess earned a Facilitator Certificate in VIRTUS from the same archdiocese.
