Samuel Oliver

Samuel is a proven board member and private equity-backed C-level executive directly responsible for leading corporate strategy utilizing financial and economic analysis, overseeing client management, mergers & acquisitions, greenfield project management, contract negotiations, government affairs, real estate & land development, and sourcing and managing financing relationships throughout the capital structure.

As a successful entrepreneur, Samuel has developed exceptional abilities to understand changing market demands, acquire large-scale investments, and build talented implementation teams. As a seasoned executive with over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Oliver was most recently honored with the ACG Houston’s Deal of the Year award in 2020, 2021 Houston Business Journal Top 100, and 2021 Inc 5000.

Oliver’s career began in an engineering role at Southwestern Energy in central Arkansas. Later, Samuel worked for Occidental Petroleum Corporation where he spent several years in Midland, TX before taking various management roles in Houston, Texas.

Samuel’s industry experience includes well construction planning, water management, strategic planning, supply chain, commercial strategy, and deal generation. These skillsets were vital in the equity fundraising process for Blackbuck Resources where Samuel eventually became Chief Commercial Officer.

As a widely recognized subject matter expert in the energy and water management sectors, Samuel has extended his expertise to audiences on three continents.

Samuel graduated from Texas A&M in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science from the Dwight Look College of Engineering.
