Richard Simmonds has diverse work experience in various companies. Richard started their career as an Operations Executive at Credit Suisse in 2001. Richard then worked as an Economist at NFU from 2002 to 2003, where they were responsible for economic forecasting and representing the UK on EU Commission agricultural forecasting committees. In 2004, they founded and became the Managing Director of LSA Group International, a position they held until 2012. From 2012 to 2018, Simmonds worked as the Managing Director at Finanzinvest Holding GmbH. Richard then joined Baldenhall Consulting in 2012 as the Managing Director, specializing in consultancy for discretionary investment management services. In 2015, they became Chief Investment Officer at both Blackfinch Investments Limited and Blackfinch Property, where they focused on portfolio management and various investments, including renewable energy projects and property development finance.
Richard Simmonds has a strong educational background with a focus on business and politics. Richard started their education at the University of London from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Politics. Following that, Richard attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 2001 to 2002, earning a Master of Science (MSc) in Comparative Politics. Later, in 2015 to 2016, they continued their studies at IE Business School, where they pursued an Executive MBA.
