Dave Marshall

Social Studies Team Leader at BLACKFORD COUNTY SCHOOLS

Dave Marshall serves as the Social Studies Team Leader at Blackford County Schools since June 2009, where responsibilities include developing and teaching curricula in Psychology, Ivy Tech History, and US History, while implementing literacy strategies for Social Studies students. Additionally, Dave co-directs the Early College High School Program and has been recognized with the Christa McAuliffe Educator of the Year Award from 2011 to 2015. As a Managing Partner at Marshall Farms since December 1996, management includes the development of the Marshall Farms Freezer Beef and assistance in crop production and commodity marketing. Prior to current roles, Dave was an educator and varsity basketball coach at Randolph Eastern School Corp from August 1996 to June 2009, where notable contributions included teaching Economics and dual credit courses, managing a basketball program, and receiving the Top Ten Teacher Award (2002-2009) and the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association 100 Wins Award (2007). Dave holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Studies Teacher Education/Economics from Ball State University, earned from 1991 to 1996.
