Richard Holmes has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Richard began their career as a Technical Support Manager at Mike Hut, where they provided leadership and support for GEONEX mapping services. Richard also played a vital role in setting up the initial Wide Area Network linking the four offices around the country.

Following this, Richard worked as an Engineering Support Specialist III at Falcon Air Force, where they provided engineering support. Richard then moved on to OAO, where they worked as a Unix System Administrator.

Richard's career took a major shift when they joined Sun Microsystems as a System Support Engineer in 1998. Richard continued in this role until 2009, gaining extensive experience in system support.

In 1997, Richard also joined Oracle Corporation as a Software Engineer and later as a Software Developer. During their time at Oracle, they wrote and submitted patents for multi-thread Java applications, showcasing their expertise in Java programming.

Richard later ventured into business ownership and became the owner of Mathnasium of Rockrimmon & Monument. Richard currently works at Blackhawk Network as a Principal Software Engineer, specializing in Java, SQL, Eclipse, HTML, XML, JSON, shell scripting, AWS, Python, Tumbleweed, and Confluence.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated exceptional skills in software development, system support, and business ownership.

Richard Holmes received their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of California from 1972 to 1974. Prior to that, they attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1970 to 1972, but their degree status is unknown.
