Blair Svoboda

Director, Quality Assurance at Blackline Safety

Blair Svoboda is currently the Director of Quality Assurance at Blackline Safety. Prior to joining Blackline Safety, they were the Sustaining Quality Manager/Technical Project Manager at BW Technologies by Honeywell. In this role, they were responsible for managing the team responsible for gas detector product quality issues in the field, as well as leading projects for investigations and fixes of customer related issues for early life failures.

During their time at BW Technologies by Honeywell, they also led the quality engineering groups in Canada, USA and Mexico in the support of both customer and manufacturing issues. In addition, they provided coaching for design engineering in the redesign of product using Six Sigma best practices. Blair dealt directly with customers and vendors regarding quality concerns, then assigned the required resources and managed projects according to the needs of the stakeholders. Lastly, they analyzed and reported metrics for Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Failure Analysis metrics and Document Control efficiency.

Prior to their role at BW Technologies by Honeywell, Blair Svoboda worked as Manufacturing Test Support at Sanmina-SCI from January 2000 to March 2004.

Blair Svoboda is a project manager who has a Project Management degree from Mount Royal University, a Computer Engineering Technology degree from Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), and a Computer Science degree from the University of Calgary.

Blair Svoboda reports to Cody Slater, CEO & Chair. They work with Shane Grennan - CFO, Brendon Cook - Chief Partnership Officer & Co-Founder, and Glen Silver - VP, Sales, North America.
