Peter Montagner

Peter Montagner is an experienced technical leader with a strong background in engineering and software development. Currently serving as the Technical Lead at Blackmagic Design since March 2017, Peter oversees a team focused on developing BlackmagicOS for embedded products, emphasizing areas such as high throughput networking, filesystems for high bitrate video, and FPGA integration. Previously, Peter was the Director and CTO at Veltronix, a startup specializing in FPGA-based hardware designs. Peter's career began at Toyota, where roles included Senior Software Engineer and Senior Design Engineer, contributing to advanced simulation technologies and gaining valuable insights during a secondment in Japan. Peter holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from the University of Wollongong.
