Julia Brown

Julia Brown is an experienced leader in the neurotechnology and healthcare sectors, currently serving as the Head of Data Strategy & AI at Blackrock Neurotech since April 2022. In this role, Julia is responsible for establishing strategic direction for the company's inaugural Data & AI team, focusing on the ethical utilization of neural data in innovative neurotech products. Prior to this, Julia held the position of Head of Software Engineering at Blackrock Neurotech, successfully integrating the MindX team post-acquisition and creating the first Software Engineering department with FDA-compliant processes. As the Founder and CEO of MindX, Julia contributed to the development of brain-computer interfaces for medical devices and consumer platforms. Additional roles include co-founding and leading EpiWatch Inc., serving as a strategic advisor at Healytics, and developing digital health solutions at Johns Hopkins Medicine. Julia's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland.
