Ben Masel

Ben Masel currently serves as the Head of Strategy for FIG Americas at BlackRock, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this, Ben held the role of Head of Corporate Development, Investments, and Treasury at R&Q Insurance Holdings Ltd from September 2020 to November 2023. Ben's extensive experience in the financial sector also includes senior leadership positions at Global Atlantic Financial Group as Senior Vice President from July 2013 to September 2020, and at BlackRock Solutions as Vice President in Financial Markets Advisory from October 2009 to July 2013. Earlier in Ben's career, positions included Corporate Bond Trading at Chapdelaine Credit Partners and CLO Trading roles at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers. Ben earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology from Vanderbilt University, where studies were completed from 2003 to 2007.
